Endurance.
(c) by M.J.Monroe

In life I find endurance
to be a daily task.
Why does life dish out such trials?
The little children ask.

Endure the weather hot or cold,
Endure the passion's flight.
Endure the essence of true love;
Withstand each wrong or right.

Remit each day to start anew.
As yesterday is gone
Endure what's lost and passed away,
With years forever long.

Without the strength of soulfelt bliss
each matter is opaque.
With sensitivities amock
we rock from love to hate.

Endurance is the will to be,
A passion to live on.
Endurance is for everyone:
It stalks the weak and strong.

Forebearing is each life's request
Until it seeks to end.
Above all things to ease each pain,
is endurance of a friend.

Hi, this a great poem, I agree with the statement endurance is a friend. Without such a thing we would not accomplish much. Thanks for sharing.

I know the feeling, there are often multiple readers of my work, and not many comments. I wish I could let them know... even if it's really terrible and bad, PLEASE let me know. And if you've ANY suggestions, I'd greatly appreciate them! But *sigh* alas, I can't tell them that. I just wait for comments to eventually drift in as they seem to do. :) //////\ I really liked the last lines... Above all things to ease each pain, is endurance of a friend. (How true!)

I loved this piece, and I loved being your third commentor, lol. You seem to have mastered the art of writing things that people can relate to well. Keep up the good work.
