The Second Coming of Christ

On Mount of Olives Jesus said,

“The hour comes, but I’m not afraid.

The love of God that sent me here,

Will fill your hearts and bring you cheer.

It’s not the end I promise you,

Keep the faith, to me be true.”

And Jesus said, “They’ll punish you,”

And even then to me, be true."

O Master say, “When will it be?”

“Not mine to tell, it’s yours to see!”

With that he rose and walked away,

To be discussed another day!

The scene is set, no date nor hour,

Give it time to bud and flower.

Before that day, the rapture comes,

He sings a hymn and then He hums.

Saints never fear the sting of death,

Sinners on earth will be bereft.

For Saints who died and in their graves,

Moments of silence, then the praise.

Then God stoops down, opens the graves,

Just as He promised; Jesus Saves!

For “In the twinkling of an eye,"[1]

As is written, "Not all shall die."

The Lord of life shall then descend,

From heaven with a shout, Amen!

Archangel with a trumpet burst,

The dead in Jesus shall be first.

The stage is set, yet curtains drawn,

None can see, neither knight nor pawn.

It isn’t time to reveal it yet,

And time is short your clock to set.

Jesus warns don’t believe in tales,

Nor seek for me in hills or vales.

When all’s ready, the world will know,

Blessings from God will overflow.

Look at the sky, see clouds of glory,

Know the signs of, the Gospel Story.[2]

And the days of Daniel’s visions

Note the book of his decisions.[3]

Days dwindle to a precious few

Young Daniel tells us about Jews.

Saint Paul reveals Romans eleven,

And tells how Jews get to heaven.

The drama of redemption’s o’er.

I’m coming quickly to your door.

My reward is with me, on that rely.

Direct your eyes up,on the sky,

"The world shall see, every knee bow,

And unlike Egypt’s sacred cow

We’ll share with you the bread of life,

Solve the problems of sin and strife.

I’ll walk with you eternally

And rule the world for all to see.

I’ll cherish my Church it’s my bride

Together forever at my side."

Words attributed to Jesus are in red. It may not be the exact version you are accustomed to but in the spirit od what he said or taught. NO! I AN NOT TRYING TO WRITE ANOTHER BIBLB. tHIS ONEHAS CARRIED ME OVER HALF A CENTURY. It is not my desire to offend anyone, our faith is very dear. If you disagree with me regarding theology, PLEASE STOP! I won't debate faith issues. My writing is here for you to review. And to suggest corrections in ability rather than content. I appreciate your effort to help me become a better writer and for that I am grateful. Thank you - Arthur

[1] I Corinthians 15:52 “In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump, for the trumpet shall sound and the dead shall be raised up incorruptible, and we shall be changed…death For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. 55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? 56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

[2] 9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. 10 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; 11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven. Acts 1:9-11 (KJV)

[3] 9 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. 10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand. Dan 12:9-10 (KJV)
