If I Were You

Id like to know how it feels to be you
Do you think as I do and see what I see
Do you wonder why you are who you are
Or how it would feel to be someone else

Id like to know the meaning of me
Why I am and who are you
I find it peculiar that I am I
Or that there is a you distinct from me

I see a red rose, you agree it is red
But perhaps if I could see as you
It would be my green or maybe my blue
But whatever it is we each call it red

Lets pretend I now become you
And I see the rose as my blue had been
But blue is now red undoubtedly
For if I were you I would cease to be

Frustrating thoughts of no consequence
But we must compare to exist
If not for two there cannot be one
So I am I since you

We see, as we see, as in the eye of the beholder.
Behold, I see that you write a very nice poem.
It is full of wonders and thoughts which exists only in the imagination of the nice poem that you wrote. Keep uo the good work, June. You have my undevided attention as I read on.
