Thanks for Giving

Mayflower set sail
Leaving its trail
Upon demand
To another land

Autumn, past
Pilgrims fast
Landing wetly
Sixteen twenty

Willing, able
Friends at table
Reaching Cape Cod
Gave thanks to God

Indians hunt
Pilgrims the same
New times were blunt
Preparing game

Friends allowed
All were proud
Much to trade
History made

They all knelt down to pray
Naming Thanksgiving Day

I absolutely love this piece of work! I love the stanza it is written in and it is just so creative the way you did this. Kudos all the way!!!!!

This is a unique presentation of verses, very clever and meaningful, each line packed with an important recollection of the coming of this special day in the days of virgin America. Thanks for a wonderful piece of your artistry!
