Some Days

by Alan Reed (Age: 67)
copyright 11-28-2012

Age Rating: 4 +

Some days you go looking for ocean

And what you find is gun smoke

And silver rain

Some days you go looking for sun

And what you find are bitter grapes

And nagging pain

Sometimes you go looking for covered bridges

And what you find is blue lichen

And green parrots

Sometimes you go looking for peace

And what you find is rap music

And angry ferrets

Some days you go looking for friends

And what you find are deaf whales

And muted clowns

Some days you go looking for smiles

And what you find is orange dust

And naked frowns

One day you’ll go looking for nothing

And what finds you are loving friends

And hearts that are true

A watering trough

And the gift that is you

This is all based around life, Right?
Well this maybe true for many people but there are few pure hearts these days I know this doesn't sound at all too positive but its all part of life.
This is all I can honestly say out of experience is that life for many is filled with disapointments .
Though I positively love the ending of this piece and all the joy it reminds me is still out there some where. Very well written Alan, Yes indeed.

Alan,
The images of deaf whales and muted clowns left me smiling, large.
Enjoyed,
Susan

Very, very nice, Alan. I especially liked the last stanza which neatly wrapped it all up and made my heart warm.

Thank you.

Frank :)
