About Midi

What it does is send music in encripted format for instruments to play. It is NOT music, just instructions to the instruments, sort of like an orchestra conductor. If however the instruments consist of a “kazoo band” it won’t sound real good.
The various midi players also affect sound. The worst I’ve seen on my system is the netscape plugin. Explorer is ok but for much better sound you can’t beat Crescendo. It’s free and THE ONLY PLAYER that can play streaming midi.and MP3. Streaming means that it plays NOW, as the file downloads, not when it is complete.
